Dear Nordine,
I hope you can help me with my question. As a busy entrepreneur it is almost impossible to stay on a fitness program. Something always seems to derail my fitness goals. And within a week or two (max) I’m back to my old habits of junk food and not working out. Any tips on how to commit to a regular practice because I always seem to quit before I can see any results.

We hear this type of thing alot since the majority of our clients are entrepreneurs or self employed. “I don’t have time.” The fact is that it doesn’t take much time to care for your body’s nutritional and fitness needs.
Especially for women, they put everyone else and everything else as a priority and in the long run, they pay the price and their health suffers.
It only takes a few minutes per day to care for your health needs and nurture your body.
You must have good health to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Otherwise, what are you working so hard for?
Entrepreneurs hire accountants and attorneys to coach them professionally so why wouldn’t you get a coach for your body which is the vessel on which all other endeavors rely upon? It will help you stay on track.

Dear Frustrated in New York,
Here is your answer:
Your body is the servant of your mind, everything your mind tells it to do, it will. Watching the way you think and speak of your inability to find time to commit to your fitness goals is actually the key to overcoming any obstacle you may be facing. By that I mean that you are already focusing on what you don’t want rather than on the things that will help you stick to your program. See and feel yourself in the screen of your mind as you want to feel and look, it will help you to engage fully in your regimen by empowering you to actually jump over any hurdles. Set time aside for your workouts and it does’nt have to be a lifetime in the gym but rather 20-45 minutes max. Make an appointment with yourself. If you can show-up for other appointments with others why can’t you show up for yourself? You are the most important person to YOU so take care of YOU.
Mindfully Yours!

Frustrated:
It is very important to stay healthy and fit. Being physically fit can bring all kinds of benefits to running your business. My workout is the very first thing that I do in the morning. I work with a trainer 2 days a week to keep me on track. By working out in the morning I don’t have to worry about having to fit it in later in the day. It’s over with and done for the day. The workout energizes me and gives me the energy and strength to make it through the day no matter what I have to do. I have made it a part of my life. It’s just part of my schedule. If you can do this, I bet you will notice a hugh difference in about 2 to 3 weeks. As in your business, you have to be dilligent in the first few weeks and then it becomes habit. Find a friend or get a trainer to workout with. Any motivation helps.
I hope this advice is helpful.
