This is interesting! It appears that a US Presidential Candidate is using Linkedin Answers to ask a question about helping small businesses and entrepreneurs. Check out LinkedIn.
My friend Michelle Price just told me that she posted the following answer to Barack’s question when she was on LinkedIn today.
Barack Obama’s LinkedIn question was:
“How can the next president better help small business and entrepreneurs thrive?”
Michelle Price’s Answer:
“Have someone on your staff go through bootstrapping and starting-up a small business and experience the current SBA and tax code system firsthand (or vicariously?) yourself…;-) You couldn’t let on that you are behind it or it would influence the outcome I’m sure (maybe not though..it’s a jungle out there). I think that would be the best lesson on what needs to happen from a continuous improvement (or maybe just blow it all up) perspective.”
Michelle found this through Vincent Wright, Chief Encouragement Officer, MyLinkedinPowerForum.com. He has 6,400 friends. Hey, I don’t have anywhere near that many friends (that I know of) but, the great think about having a good friend like Michelle P is… she fills me in on interesting things that are going on like Barack and LinkedIn. I would have probably missed it and maybe you would have too. Quite frankly I’m glad Barack is asking entrepreneurs what we want.
As a thriving weekend entrepreneur I stay pretty busy. This week I started pre-producing for a TV show and I leave tomorrow for the second stop of a 10 city speaking tour for my book “Weekend Entrepreneur 101 Great Ways to Earn Extra Income.” With so much going on it occurred to me that Michelle P would be the perfect team player to join forces with me as a writer for my blog. She has given me so many good ideas that I often slip and ask her, “What are ‘we’ going to write about today?” Fortunately, when I ran this idea by the powers that be at entrepreneur.com they liked it (thanks Francine). So Michelle Price is officially on board and boy, does she have lots to say.
I hope you’ll keep coming back for more exciting water cooler conversation, inspiration and moneymaking tips. As well as to see what Michelle P and I am up to.
